One for the exterior walls and an other for the interior walls of the first floor. \r\n\r\n<h2>Exterior walls<\/h2>\r\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/5QzA1eHoT_c\" width=\"853\" height=\"480\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe>\r\n\r\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-5722\" title=\"Exterior Walls 1F\" src=\"https:\/\/visualarqv2.instawp.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2012\/10\/Exterior-Walls-1F.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"220\" \/>\r\n<ol>\r\n\t<li>Run the <kbd><em><strong>_vaWall<\/strong><\/em><\/kbd> command to create the exterior walls of the house. Pick the <em>Exterior 200mm<\/em> style created before, and set the alignment to <em>Left<\/em>. Use the slab corners to snap on them as you draw the walls.<\/li>\r\n        <li>Select the 4 walls created and <strong><em>_move\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5089\" title=\"move\" src=\"https:\/\/visualarqv2.instawp.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2012\/06\/move.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"26\" height=\"26\" \/><\/em><\/strong> them down (0.3m), until they are aligned with the bottom slab surface. Use the Gumball (clicking on the Z axis arrow and typing the value to move the walls) as another way to move the walls downwards. This operation can be done also by changing the 4 walls elevation value, from the object properties dialog\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5098\" title=\"properties icon\" src=\"https:\/\/visualarqv2.instawp.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2012\/06\/properties-icon.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"26\" height=\"26\" \/>.<\/li>\r\n\t<li>We can see that the slab side faces and the walls exterior surfaces are overlapping. You can avoid this by separating the walls from the slab in two ways:\r\n<ol>\r\n   <li>\r\nTurn the slab <strong>control points on<\/strong> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5164\" title=\"Points on\" src=\"https:\/\/visualarqv2.instawp.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2012\/06\/Points-on.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"26\" height=\"26\" \/>, and <kbd><strong><em>_move\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/kbd>\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"move\" src=\"https:\/\/visualarqv2.instawp.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2012\/06\/move.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"26\" height=\"26\" \/>them in order that the slab boundary is aligned with the interior wall faces.<\/li>\r\n   <li>Change the <em>Alignment Offset<\/em> property of the 4 walls to 0,01m, in the Wall Properties panel. <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"properties icon\" src=\"https:\/\/visualarqv2.instawp.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2012\/06\/properties-icon.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"26\" height=\"26\" \/><\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/li>\r\n\t<li><b>Solving the intersection of the slab and the walls<\/b>. there are two different ways to achieve this:\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>Extending the walls to the slab:\r\n<ol>\r\n   <li>Run the <kbd><b>vaWallExtend<\/kbd><\/b> command. Select the 4 walls and click <em>ENTER<\/em>.<\/li>\r\n  <li>From the command line, select the option <em>Bottom<\/em> as the <em>Extension direction<\/em>.<\/li>\r\n  <li>Select the slab as the boundary object where to extend the walls.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n       <\/li>\r\n<li>Changing the height of the walls by layer: <em>(this option is not shown in the video)<\/em>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>Select the 4 exterior walls and from the Object Properties panel <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"properties icon\" src=\"https:\/\/visualarqv2.instawp.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2012\/06\/properties-icon.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"26\" height=\"26\" \/> expand the Wall layers bottom offset, and change the second wall layer to 0,3m.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<hr class=\"separator\">\r\n<h2>Interior walls<\/h2>\r\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/LhnVxE7NcKg\" width=\"853\" height=\"480\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe>\r\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-5723\" title=\"Interior Walls 1F\" src=\"https:\/\/visualarqv2.instawp.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2012\/10\/Interior-Walls-1F.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"250\" \/>\r\n<ol>\r\n\t<li>Run the <kbd><em><strong>vaWall<\/strong><\/em><\/kbd> command <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5119\" title=\"VA_Wall\" src=\"https:\/\/visualarqv2.instawp.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2012\/06\/VA_Wall.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"26\" height=\"26\" \/>\u00a0to create the internal walls. You can change the wall style, alignment, and the insertion options for each wall part without closing the command.<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Run the <em><strong>Wall: From curves<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0or the <strong><em>Wall: Set Path<\/em><\/strong> command\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/visualarqv2.instawp.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/vaWallFromCurves-24.png\" alt=\"Wall from curves\" width=\"24\" height=\"24\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-14229\" \/>\u00a0for the curved walls. You need to create the curve first.<\/li>\r\n<li>Finally change the height of the interior walls to 3.1m and the height of the 4 exterior walls to 3.4m.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n(<em>TIP<\/em>: Press <em>Ctrl+Z<\/em> key to undo a wall part without closing the command. The insertion of walls in that way works like the Rhino curves and polylines.)\r\n\r\n<hr class=\"separator\">\r\n<h2>Ramp fence walls<\/h2>\r\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-5724\" title=\"Ramp wall 1F\" src=\"https:\/\/visualarqv2.instawp.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2012\/10\/Ramp-wall-1F.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"220\" \/>\r\n<ol>\r\n\t<li><strong>Isolate<\/strong> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5084\" title=\"isolate selection\" src=\"https:\/\/visualarqv2.instawp.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2012\/06\/isolate-selection.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"26\" height=\"26\" \/>\u00a0the objects implied around the wall of the first floor ramp.<\/li>\r\n\t<li><strong>Split<\/strong> the wall which is meant to be the ramp fence, with the _<strong><em>vaWallSplit<\/em><\/strong> command <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5331\" title=\"VA_WallSplit\" src=\"https:\/\/visualarqv2.instawp.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2012\/07\/VA_WallSplit.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"26\" height=\"26\" \/>. Pick as the split point the corner of the intersection with the other wall.<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Now work from the <em>Right Viewport<\/em>, in <em>Wireframe<\/em> display mode. Create the two <strong>closed curves\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5097\" title=\"polyline\" src=\"https:\/\/visualarqv2.instawp.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2012\/06\/polyline.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"26\" height=\"26\" \/><\/strong> that will be used to generate the solids to subtract from the ramp fence wall.<\/li>\r\n\t<li><strong><em>_Extrude\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5081\" title=\"extrude\" src=\"https:\/\/visualarqv2.instawp.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2012\/06\/extrude.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"26\" height=\"26\" \/><\/em><\/strong> the profile curves.
